The earthquakes are expected in Almaty again

ASTANA. May 11. knews.kz - According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic, earthquakes stronger than magnitude 7 are not expected in Almaty prognostic area next week.
Today the 2-magnitude earthquake was happened in China 370 km away of Almaty city at 10.36 a.m.
12-point scale of earthquake intensities of Medvedev-Karnik-Shponhoyer was developed in 1964 and it is widely used in Europe and at the territory of former USSR. According to the MSK-64 the earthquake of 7 points caused cracks in the walls of stone houses. Anti-seismic as well as wooden buildings remain intact.
