Kazakhstan concluded talks on access to services market within Kazakhstan’s WTO accession

ASTANA. October 14. knews.kz – The Protocol on completion of bilateral talks on access to the services market between Kazakhstan and the EU was signed within the negotiations process on Kazakhstan’s WTO accession in Brussels, the press service of the Ministry for Economic Integration of Kazakhstan reported.
The Protocol was signed by Mister for Economic Integration Zhanar Aitzhanova from the Kazakh side and Deputy Director-General Trade of the European Commission Peter Balas from the EU side.
The sides agreed on conditions aimed at improvement of the investment climate in the field of oil and gas production, telecommunications, construction, financial and a number of other types of services, the press service reported.
The direct investments flow to Kazakhstan from the EU member states made 11 billion U.S. dollars in 2010. The trade turnover between the sides reached 28 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of the year.
