State leaders congratulate Kazakhstan President on his victory in elections

ASTANA. April 5. knews.kz - Leaders of foreign countries and heads of international organizations congratulated the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on his victory in snap presidential elections on April 3, “Kazakhstan news” reports.

Turkish President Abdullah Gyul expressed his joy over the fact that the elections were held in an atmosphere of peace and openness via his telegram". "We all witness how, thanks to your wise and farsighted policy Kazakhstan has turned into the region flourishing oasis and every day heightens its credibility at the international arena" - Gul’s telegram states.

Head’s press-service reported that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed congratulations to Nazarbayev on his convincing victory in the presidential elections. "Your victory proved the people of Kazakhstan highly trust you and support your policy aimed at strengthening of statehood and the rule of law, implementing fundamental reforms in all spheres of society. Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are tied age-old connections of friendship, good neighborliness and cooperation. I am confident that our bilateral relations based on these good traditions will continue to prosper for the benefit of our friendly peoples and countries", - Aliyev’s telegram proclaims.

The OSCE Secretary-General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut congratulated Nazarbayev on "confident victory in the presidential election". "I think this choice is an evidence of a huge confidence of the people of Kazakhstan to you and your course. Your personal contribution to the formation of a young nation with a vibrant economy and high international reputation deserved appreciation of your people as well as your vision of the Kazakhstan further development strategy - his support", - the telegram says. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in his telegram said that "at the past election the people of Kazakhstan, once again expressing confidence in you, voted for reform and democratic development of an independent and economically strong state, thereby acknowledging the obvious progress achieved in this way, under your wise leadership".

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko during a telephone conversation with Mr Nazarbayev congratulated him "with a reliant victory in presidential elections". Nazarbayev sent his congratulations to former Estonian President Arnold Ruutel, the president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh, President of the Republic of Lithuania Grybauskaite, Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, Prime Minister of the Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President Emomali Rakhmonov, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries Ramil Hasanov.
